1960 Mt Rainier Climb
For 20 years Dan was the youngest person to climb Mt Rainier. Family friend Laura Johnson summited at age seven in 1980.
1966 Mt Owen Climb
Nick Snyder and Dan, known as the “Climbing Twins,” were the youngest non-guided climbers to summit Mt Owen in the Tetons.
1966 Chamber Award with Sir Edmund Hillary & Lady Hillary
Nick Snyder and Dan were honored for their ascent of Mt Owen by the Pasadena Chamber, and had the privilege of meeting and chatting with Sir Edmund Hillary and his wife.
